Maia's Money Saver Tips Episode 2: Snapcart

What if I told you, You can earn money on receipts.

That's right, there is money on a piece of paper you usually throw away.

Introducing the app, SNAPCART! (Sounds like an apple ad. Haha!)

Snapcart is an interesting way to earn money by snapping a picture of your receipt. I know, it sounds sketchy and honestly not credible if you don't know someone who uses this app. But I'm here to put your doubts behind this app. Here at Maia's Money Saver Tip Blog, I'll try it first and see if you could do it too. Yes, YOU! You cheap-steak, you!

It's 100% legit. And yes, I already received a cashback.

Actual screencap of the notification I received when I cashout my earnings.
How much cashback did I received?
It's more over 300 but not over 350. There was a transfer fee.
How did I received the money?
Thru a Bank Account that I registered on the app. It supports most of the major banks here in the Philippines.
How long did it take me to earn the minimum amount for cashback?
It took me like 6 months to get at least 300 (That's the minimum amount for cashout), We weren't really snapping that religiously. But If you do a lot of grocery shopping, you can earn a lot more.

What kind of receipt do they accept?
There a whole FAQ page on the app. And you could always message the customer support if you have further questions. I'll be posting a screencap of the whole FAQ page.

How long does it take for your receipts to be approved?
Usually a day. Just be mindful of your snaps. I had a few rejected receipt because of bad lighting but I also had rejected receipts because the app didn't upload the whole photo I take. When that happened, I emailed the customer support immediately but the sad thing is, I already threw the receipt and it's past the 3 day deadline. So, the moral lesson is don't throw your receipt yet if it's not yet approved.

I still think that the app is still a bit buggy but I suggest that you should link it up with your facebook or email for back-up of your data. But it's basically free money! There's no harm on trying. Just check it out first, see if you can do it weekly and decide if you what to continue using it.

So, that's for my Snapcart episode. If you have suggestions and other life secrets you want to share just comment it down below and let's make an article about.

Sweet Treat Unboxing: Cadbury Dairy Milk Lickables

Another Day, Another Sweet Treat.

I decided to make this sweet treat unboxing as a main blog topic for me. I'll be unboxing some grocery sweet treats and tell you if it's worth your money. And maybe have a video/vlog.

For today, I've gotten a Cadbury Dairy Milk Lickables.

After being bombarded with lots of tv plugs by this product, Me and my husband finally gave in to the advertisers and decided to take a look at this... dessert? I don't really know what to call it even.

Well, lets start with the toy.

I got lucky and had the Eevee whistle, while Paul had the hideous keychain. He really wanted a Pikachu, technically he got what he got but not in the form he wanted. I say that the Eevee whistle was well made but the keychain was despicable.

Now, lets talk about the chocolate.

Does it taste like the Cadbury Chocolate? so-so. It kinda taste like it. Let me just describe the texture. It was like a melted chocolate with a lot of crispy flakes similar to a cereal. Was it Good? Yeah, I think a kid would love it. Would I buy it again? NO. As a grown woman, NO. but I would buy it again for a kid or my kid if ever I would have one. The price is really high for something like that, to be fair, I would probably get a Kinder Joy next time for direct comparison. so, be sure to follow my blog to get that notification instantly. 'till next time!

Maia's Money Saver Tips Episode 1: Booky App

I've been wanting to write this article ever since I started blogging here at blogger but I don't know what to name the whole concept, so I just recently decided to stick with Money Saver Tips, as generic as that 'cause it's been taking me ages to think of a title and I reaaallly wanna write this so bad.

First Episode, Yey!

Have ever heard about Booky App? If you're traveling Manila with a partner this might come in handy.

There have been a lot of fancy and yummy eats here in the Metro but some of them cost a lot. Fear not! Booky App is here to same you a dime! (By the way, this is not a sponsored ad)

I have been using this app since 2017 and I have saved a lot of money from eating at some wonderful spots at the Metro by using Booky's Buy 1 Get 1 promo code.

Booky App
There are a lot of promos to choose from depending on the month or so, but it's constantly changing so, you have to keep an eye on those treats you would love to try.

There are also other options of money saving treats you could choose from like:

  • Most Booked - you could book your seat at a resto on a specific time with specific discount.
  • Big Buffet with Discount - There are a lot of buffets here in Manila so, if you're into that book it here for more savings.
  • Coupons under Php 99 - Cheap eats that doesn't break the bank.
  • Booky Favorites - See what's the hottest treat that cheap people like you also avails.
And many more, depending on the app / season update.

There are plenty options to choice from, Me and Paul recently tried the Seattle's Best Javakula.

There are a lot of branches to choose from but we ended up at SM North Edsa. Steps on availing one is so easy, you can either do it online or offline. Just click on the coupon you would love to claim (Note: Click the claim button only when ordering the meal or about a minute from the counter) Usually the cashier personelle would guide you thru the process. Don't be shy to ask for help.

Our Brownie Javakula that cost only Php195.
There you have it, You just save a peso! It's an addicting feeling on saving money while eating. I don't know about you but at the peak of inflation here in Manila, dinning out is a vice. But when you use this app, you won't feel guilty on spending your hard earn money. So, next time if you have a date, don't hesitate to pull out that mobile phone of yours and start splurging but at the same time also saving.

This is just a first on my Money Saving Tip. Be sure to visit my blog again next week for more frugal way of living.
